The cmritbgl Library is a fast developing center of information. Apart from a number of Text Books and Reference Books, it provides students with National and International Journals. Videos and CD-ROMs . We have set up IEEE Student Branch in the Academic Year 2004-2005. At present, 4 Faculty Members and 30 Students have joined IEEE. We have also subscribed 38 International Journals from IEEE. We have Institutional Membership of Delnet, which provides on line access to the various Databases to facilitate the students and staff members for their research and other knowledge management. We have Digital Library Facilities, where the students and staff members can access information through Intranet and Internet. We have developed an exclusive Interface to access digital library information. We have developed the digital collection through Greenstone Digital Library Software. cmritbgl Library is completely automated with "Libsoft", a Bangalore based software. All the books and Membership cards have been barcoded. The Library Collection is as follows:

CMRIT Sports and Games Committee always believed in the unquestionable saying “A sound mind in a sound body”. The importance given to the health of the students through sports and games is the maximum. The benefits the students gain from the sports activities are implied in the result and their active involvement in many other extra curricular activities. CMRIT sports and Games Committee is seriously considering making sports and games part of curriculum by accommodating it in the regular time table of the curricular activities it has also been practically practiced with regular sports practice sessions happening in the evening between 4 PM to 6.30 PM.

OBJECTIVES

• To create awareness among the students that education and physical education are two sides of the same coin.
• To mould students into a sound physical, mental and social being.
• To instill the competitive sprit in the student.
• To encourage the students to take part in sports and games and physical education activates.
• To participate in the various intercollegiate and the inter university sports and games competitions.
• To Asses the ability of the students in the various activities by conducting inter class sports and games competitions.
• To organize annual sports and games competitions where the students and faculty members can exhibit their individual talent in sports and games.

The Sports activities are conducted according to the calendar of events prepared in the beginning of the academic year. A Sports and Games committee is formed under the leadership of Principal. Physical Education Director coordinates all the activities related to Sports and Games with the assistance of the committee members. The Programmes enlisted in the calendar of events are carried with the help of the Sports and Games committee.

• Malavika G Gubbi 1st Sem Telecommunication got three Gold Medal, and Two Silver and one Bronze in VTU Swimming Competition held at RNSIT Bangalore and she got selected in VTU Team to participate in All India Swimming and Water Polo Competition held at Punjab University Chandighar and She is also Selected for Karnataka Water Polo Team to participate Senior National Aquatic Championship held at Basavangudi Bangalore on 22nd September 2006.
• Deepika das of 5th Electronics got gold medal in VTU diving competition being held at RNSIT Bangalore, and she got selected in VTU team to participate All India Diving Competition being held at Punjab University Chandigarh 2006-2007.
• Pronisha Borha of MCA 5th sem got selected VTU Table Tennis Team to participate in South Zone inter university Table Tennis Championship Being held at VTU Belgaum 2006 and also she has won South Zone Table Tennis Championship and got selected for All India Inter University Table Tennis Championship held at Maharastra 2006-2007.
• Pooja Chopra7th Computer Science got selected VTU Tennis Team to participate South zone Inter University Tennis Championship held at Annamalai University Chidambaram 2006-2007.
• Maya R 5th Electronics is selected for Karnataka Throw Ball Team to participate National Level Throw Ball Championship held at Kerala 2006-2007.
• Ragavendra Rao 3rd Electronics is selected for Karnataka Under 19 Cricket Team to Participate National Level Cricket Tournament 2006-2007

Individual Achievements in Sports during 2007-08

• Ms. Deepika Das – 7th ECE – won four medal (including one Gold Medal and created a NEW RECORD in V T U Inter Zonal Swimming Competition held at & Eight BRONZE Medals in 2 relay events in Swimming organized by Global Academy of Technology, Bangalore–2007-08.
• Basavaraju, 1st Semester MBA has secured Silver Medal in Hammer Throw in Visvesvaraya Technological University Inter Zonal Athletic Meet 2007-2008 organized by K.I.T., Tiptur from October 30th 2007 to 2nd November 2008. He has also set New Record, in Hammer Throw.
• Mr. Karthigeyan – 5th CSE – represented Karnataka Boxing Association and participated Senior National Boxing Championship held at Delhi.
• Mr. Karthigeyan has won Silver Medal in Olympics in State Olympics in the Boxing Championship during the month of February 2008.

Individual Achievements in Sports during 2008-09^*

• Mr.Raghavendra N. 5th sem CSE has won Gold Medal in VTU Inter-Zonal Wrestling Competition held at MCE, Hassan from 16-9-08 To 18-9-08. He has selected to VTU team to represent All India Inter-university Competition held at Rothak University, Haryana from 26-11-08 To 29-11-08.
• Mr.Basavaraj 3rd Sem MBA has Won Gold Medal in Hammer Throw ans Silver medal in Discuss Throw in VTU Inter-Zonal Athletic Competition held at Reva.I.T from 6-11-08 To 9-11-08.
• We have won the Runners-Up in VTU Throw Tournament held at Oxford college of Engineering, Bangalore from 29-09-08 To 24-09-08.And also Got 3rd Place in VTU Inter-Zonal Throw ball Tournament held at OCE, Bangalore.
